Over materialistic

Have my eyes swept through the calendar, I realized how time flies. It has been six years I joined SJ, and lots had happened during these years. In my point of view, if you want to join a voluntary service body like SJ, you ought to have the passion, otherwise you are not a true SJ member to me, even though you are wearing the uniform. There was a question which has stayed in my heart for a long time already. What was the main purpose they choose to join SJ? What was the reason that tell his mind to choose SJ? I have no idea.

They chose to join SJ when they have their first step into the school, preparing to start their secondary school life. So, they are still new, so I won't blame them. But for members who are already a Form 2 and above, where are you whenever there is an activity? Recently our area is going to organize a blood donation activity, and definitely we need helpers, so I asked them to get 10 members ready for the event. Then the response is outrage, only 1 person. Later, an "old witch" used her greatest attraction to lure them, and finally the other 9 vacancies has been filled up. But hold on, the greatest attraction that I mean here wasn't that kind of attraction, it is in fact, something that is very useful for them when they leave the school. AJK pose in SJ SMKI. I was so disappointed when I heard about it. For heaven's sake!!!!!! This is not the true spirit of being a first aider, not a true SJ member! "For the service of mankind" But did they do it? It is a shame!!!!

What was in your mind when you decide to join this uniform body huh?!?! The uniform body that you are joining now is a voluntary uniform body, and do you call this kind of spirit as a spirit of volunteer? Where is the spirit?? And the funny thing is, you are still able to put the uniform on your body. I was wondering how thick your face is. Please, don't be a parasite. This has showed me how severe is when a person became over materialistic. Materialistic is good, but they are over-materialistic. When they become over-materialistic, it is no longer good. We need materialism to set a target for our life, and then passion is needed to drive our body and soul to move toward the target. In this case, they have the target and they did move their body and soul toward their goal, but the true spirit as a SJ member is lost. How pathetic is that...

Maybe some of you may think that perhaps they are new to SJ so they didn't know much about SJ, but for your information, they are already Form 4. In my opinion, you joined SJ, you love SJ, and the true spirit of SJ will be showed. However, the truth is, these kind of people can't be eliminated. The nature is balance. Every kind of people is needed to balance the nature. Isn't? (Sigh~)
